The Advanced Edition is all about back-end functionality. Without
out it, your other editions will have changed functionality in areas
like code generation, connection management / sharing, and things like unit and
performance testing would be impossible.

The Advanced Edition allows you to install server-based components that support some of the richest functionality you'll get out of the SQL-Hero suite of tools. These are manifest in things like user-defined properties that can be associated to numerous types of objects (not just SQL-based), schedules and meta-data for notifications, collected trace and unit test results for analysis, the object history log, and more. The absence of these will limit the available options when using your other SQL-Hero Editions. The good news? You can point other editions at the machine (or machines) on which these components are being run. You can also install different server components on different machines, if you'd like to construct a distributed SQL-Hero architecture.
